Don’t let the sun go down on me
This was a perfect summer evening high on a hilltop in the Scottish Highlands. The leveret moved away from the protection of its burrow to have one last meal before the sun finally set for he evening. There was a slight haze which meant that I could shoot into the setting sun without completely blowing the highlights and was able to retain some detail in the shadows to give the leveret some definition.
To get the sunset and the placement of the animal to fall into the place is something that I have not witnessed before or since.
