Roaring Leveret
This leveret had spent a couple of hours soaking up the late evening sun when all of a sudden it decided to stretch and yawn. This is something that the adult mountain hare will do as well and I always think this is the hare trying its best to impersonate a roaring lion.
As with all wildlife photography you must stay aware at all times as action can often be short lived. I find it is best to have the camera set to a reasonably high shutter speed even when the subject is static as you will then be ready to capture movement without losing time by having to change settings resulting in a missed image.
