Inquisitive Chappy
Red Squirrels can be very inquisitive. This young Red Squirrel was a fearless chap and would often come down from his vantage point high in the pine forest as I arrived, presumably interested in the treats that I brought with me.
This allowed me the freedom to make hand held images and for this one I took advantage of the colours and textures of this dead Scots pine tree that me fried was using to greet my arrival.
This image was taken in February hence the long and impressive ear tufts that were very much on display.
