In the Spotlight

There are a number of things that I enjoy about wildlife photography the most important is to always remembering what a privilege it is to spend time with nature in the outdoors.

As a photographer I particularly enjoy when I get the opportunity to capture the animal in special light but for this to happen you require both the light and subject to appear at the same time. More often than not you get one or the other but that is what makes wildlife photography such a pleasure and challenge at the same time.

For this image I had gained the trust of the leveret making it possible for me to maneuverer myself into a position where I could capture the illuminated head of the leveret against a background that was in shadow allowing for what I felt is a dramatic composition.
